You're absolutely right Glen, the example I provided would mean nothing to an installer or player, but it would mean everything to someone who is a cloth pioneer.
So if you don't actually know anything (or care) about what the cloth is made of, how its prepared, and how it is woven and processed, how can you be a pioneer of 760?
Do you have any actual experience in the textile industry, other than to make a suggestion to someone about faster cloth?
Don't you get it? As a pool table mechanic, I judge cloth but how it looks when it comes OFF a pool table, not what it.looks like when it's first installed....that's the TRUE test of cloth, seeing is believing buddy, that's why I promoted Simonis cloth in the PNW, because after about a year of play, taking it off, it looked better than any other cloths I was using at the time, although it did show a lot of ball burn marks on the surface, more than any other cloth being used at the same time.
