Bill Hoyt custom cue made for the "living legend"

I am going to look at a Bill Hoyt custom cue friday that has 4 points, pig skin wrap, linen fiber joints, and mild ring work and 3 shafts with matching ring work. Also comes with a case don't know anything about the case, the guy said it had the pockets full of tools and stuff.

I do know the history behind the cue it was made for a local guy that is kinda famous around here for his playing back in the day. but i still would not bet against him playing anyone on a bar table. I will post his name friday after i go look at the cue. I was told the cue is in great condition because it was his playing cue and he took care of it.

How much should I pay for this package deal?

Also does anyone play with a hoyt cue?

I would still think it would be worth $200-$400 You can always get new shafts if the butt is in good shape. The case is worth $100 easy

thanks for the price guideline the guy is asking $250

the shaft are in great shape

the name hoyt is under the clear coat in black on the forearm

Thats most definitely Calvins old stick!, I'd know that stick anywhere.
Calvin had Bill Hoyt make it for him back in the early to mid-90's, it was priced around $850.00 back then, the pig skin wrap was put on because Calvin has the sweatiest hands of anyone and the pig skin absorb the moisture best, the shafts were originally 13 mm, but Calvin always liked to give-um a work out with the sand paper...lol

I will post some pic of the stuff he had in the case pocket i don't think i have ever seen so much in one before

he had 2 wood files tons of sand paper in the case
and 4 hair combs

The best thing is the story behind the cue & case. We have a cue & case that was Scotty Townsends and if that sucker could talk think about the stories it could tell. I think it is a great buy for $250 you can always get a new shaft to play with. Good luck with it regards

This is the cue that "Country Calvin" Harcrow used in 1996 to win the Arkansas APPA state 8-ball champion title with.

I found the above out from Catpool9

the shafts are down from 13mm to a very small 11mm even not 11.75mm just 11mm

and when i went back to pay the guy for the cue

he gay me another george 1x2 case

so i got a cue with 3 shafts and one 2x4 george and a 1x2 george for $250

he also had a 4x8 brunswick that needed new felt and the legs needed veeners glueed back on for $200

but i am saving that money to my a 3pc Bus from him

Thats a bunch of crap to fit in one case. I will buy everything from you for $100 if you want to sell it. Lucky A$$ - what a steal!!!
