Hi,

does anyone have any news from victor concerning the encyclopedia?

I've been waiting since june for it and its now octobre. He hasn't answered any pm or email.

Also i just noticed that on the website it stats, no oversea shipping.
thats sucks :(

so:

1/ is the 3th edition available yet?
2/ if victor doesnt ship, would someone (i know) mind shipping it to europe for me?

I wouldn't mind helping you with shipping. So far though, the book is more myth than reality. I have received a couple letters and read a posting from Mr. Stein...still no book. I prepaid in March.

Victor's 3rd edition will be coming soon. i have not talked to him since the BCA Trade show in June. However, I have every faith in him. This is a major undertaking, and there always seems to be problems.

I am sure the final product will be well worth the wait. Just rest assured that Victor is a stand-up guy and do not think that delays are any underhanded ploy.

Please be patient - I am sure something will be coming soon.

I talked to Vic lately, and the books were printed and on the way via sea freight. He was going to get me my pre-paid book before I leave the country, but tomorrow is my last day.

I have no worries. Vic has done this before and he always comes through.

Solly, no doubt we will see this great edition sooner or later. So far it is much later than expected but, like Victor mentioned in one of the multiple threads about BE 3rd ed (which I personally would prefer being just one thread continued than a new one every month), it takes a lot of effort and on the other hand is worth waiting.
I did corespond with Mr Stein by email and PM here a couple of times and that's not an easy task. I think he is very busy with BE preparation and at the same time might not deal with computers very good. So, don't be distracted by his silence, I'm sure everything will be okay.
I asked Vic about overseas shipment (as I might need it as well) and every time he replied that there is not much of a problem about it except that the price will be prohibitive then due to heavy weight of such a volume. So, Solartje, you could try to calculate the shipment cost at USPS site and decide if you can afford it. Victor (or Blatt Billiards, which is much the same) can make international shipment I think.

Beetter way is to bring the book in someone's luggage so there is no need to pay for delivery. You could either make a trip to the US or ask Serge Das when he travels to DCC :) I don't think you could expect an American to play in Eurotour... Asking a European pro like Mika or Thorsten could be an option... Though not realistic one.

Hehe i could ask Serge, but money is not the problem. Even if it costed double what it costs now,i'd still buy it :D Its kinda my bible, since i started collecting. I bought stellinga's book this summer, because i couldnt wait as long for voc's, but ive read it over and over now and my brain needs a new book to keep busy :D

I know vic is a standup guy, but his cyber-silence scared me.

Patience is not my best character
