I have a old video i think it was of players around Ralph Greenleaf era i would like to put on youtube.I was wondering would i be breaking any copywrite laws if i where to put it on youtube?

Its not a instructional video its a video of alot of the oldtimers playing pool...

Alfred Hitcock's 1935 movie The 39 Steps is considered public domain. So, I wouldn't be suprised if many others from that era or earlier has lapsed into public domain as well; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Public_domain#Before_1964

Posting to Youtube, you may be preserving history if its not being actively sold and marketed. Posting an entire copyrighted clip is infringement, whereas as shorter segment is considered fair use; http://www.copyright.gov/fls/fl102.html
