billiardex brand tables...

Flawless so far....

I see billiardex offering tons of tables via ebay. These tables appear to be well crafted, but what do I know. Does anyone have an opinion on these? Is there something I'm missing? They offer free shipping and the tables seem to be very reasonably priced (if not too inexpensive), and I know there's no such thing as 'too good to be true'.

I have nothing favorable to say about these tables or this company any longer so, I've retracted my review from 2007. I now bite my tongue and say nothing.

I've installed several of these tables in recent months, along with a few other imported brands. In my limited experience, each of the Spencer Marston tables has gone together flawlessly. I encountered no issues what-so-ever assembling them. They really are great looking tables and seem to respond well with ball checks when finished.

Fantastic. Thank you sir!

I agree 100%. Have done about 2 dozen of these tables in the last couple of months and have had no problems. And they pay on time! :D

Make sure you are comfortable with their return policy (you pay $1200 shipping). Basically, once you order it, you bought it.

Spencer Marston

I just finished installing a Spencer Marston 7' Sedona model that was ordered online by a friend of mine. I had my apprehensions about this table being made in China, etc. but having put one in I can say the components were good quality and there were no snags whatsoever! I hung around for a couple of hours to "test" it with the help of some Jack Daniels so generously provided by my customer and have to say it plays as well as any 7 footer I've played on.

The table components were well packaged and none of the hardware was missing. The Championship Saturn cloth was something new for me but was easy to work with.

Needless to say my friend was quite pleased with the results.

We've set up a few of them. They are very cheap tables.

The wood is a low quality import wood but I do say they put a good finish on it. The metal brackets on the frame are extremely weak and I am surprised they even hold up the cross-beams.

I don't see the pockets lasting as long as pockets from other Table brands(olhausen, etc). They look and feel cheap.

The last one we set up, some of the metal brackets holding up the cross-beams were slightly bent. Also, the slate liner was not inset and none of the rail bolts were long enough. Luckily we were down the street from the hardware store. I'm glad we weren't at someones lakehouse hours away from civilization.

As far as accessories, you get the lowest quality cloth and very cheap cues.

Yo u definitely get what you pay for, and really the tables aren't even that good of a deal for the average consumer. Those prices do include shipping yes, but having to pay for installation brings you right at prices of tables from a genuine dealer. And for a few hundred more, you could get a much better table.

With all that said, they do set up ok and don't play too bad. I'm curious about how long those Jyu ben brand cushions last(I think that's how its spelled).

I have assembled several of these tables in the past. The quality of wood they use is poor, I have seen legs split after only a couple of years. Their short leg tables aren't very stable. You definitely want to order a post leg or long legged table for sure. For tables that sell in this price range I would recommend this company. They called me a few weeks ago and said there no longer Billiard Ex. I think there pooltables.com now.

... and probably help keep a real pool table store from closing the doors.
