At last year's DCC I was watching Alex P. hitting some balls, just practicing, when a guy offered to bet him that he couldn't run the balls out in rotation. As I recall, Alex looked at the layout of the table, I think all 15 balls were spread around on the table at the time, and said that if he could move one of the balls a few inches, he'd take the bet. So the bet was on and Alex started shooting balls. I had an iPod Touch in my pocket and tried to catch the last of the run. Billy Incardona was sitting with the guy who made the bet and I'm sure knew the guy. It was all done in a joking way, though the bet was a real bet for $300. It was just one of those moments that makes the DCC just a draw for so many pool players. Maybe Billy will chime in with some info. Here is a link to the video. Keep in mind it was just my little iPod Touch. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F2T2_gIvlrs&feature=plcp&context=C367d421UDOEgsToPDskJr6T3ZDNMgJs8Rs1v2p0ky

Only the most exciting player in the entire pool world! And that's why. Underneath all that humor is an intensely competitive MAN!

One other thing: Alex was my last match at the US 1Pocket Open last year (my last match, for obvious reasons :-) but I would have to say that among the pros I've played over the years he was, by far, one of the nicest guys you'd ever want to play: respectful, polite, honest, funny, and said "nice shot" when it was appropriate. You might be surprised how rare all that is amongst the pro ranks.

Nice brag post lol make sure you get that engraved on your tombstone "i played Alex P at the us open" you get three of thumbs up for that post :thumbup::thumbup:

^^^^+1 On another note did you get the laptop to run?

Yep, thanks for asking! It was a bad memory module and a restored system image that was faulty due to having been made with the bad memory. I had another image and all was fine after I replaced the memory module.

I was sitting right beside the gentleman that made the bet and Billy was next to him. Alex actually moved 2 balls though just a bit not much.

They also played a one pocket match after that for maybe 100? Believe the spot was 12-5, but I've have a few beers since then.

I don't know them well enough to release any of there names. The beard was also there behind us.

Appleton walked up and they tried to make a game with him as well one pocket of course. Darren declined 12-4 & 12-5.. and a couple other crazy spots... the amount was fairly high a few thousand I think.

Action is all over the place, if I recall that was just after alex match vs buddy in the banks division, so he just got done playing on that table.:)
