sweet!!!

Hi Dave, This looks like a winner, man these usually play beter than the regular hard rock maple shafts. I might get in line for one.

Thanks, Raecarmia

I had a Dale Teague cue with a Birdseye shaft. It played very well. Good luck to you!

I've found from past experience that when a shaft has a few eyes in it....it is indeed extra crisp for some reason. Never tried one with the amount of figure that yours has though. I have made some shafts of old growth wood that had a very pronounced curly figure...and while normally not desired in shaft wood due to the curly being more prone to movement....they did hit exceptional and stayed straight. I've also noticed DPK used a lot of curly-ish shafts on some of his early cues. Also another famous maker liked figure in his shafts too....as seen in the pic below. Sorry Dave, not trying to hijack your thread with a pic...just showing that many old school makers liked shafts with figure.

Shaft

Well I'll be giving it a test run tonight, so I'll let you know how it hits. From the looks of it, it should be a good player, but we'll see!
