2007 TAD-1 birdseye. Light play on one shaft. SS 5/6-18 piloted. White w/green spec linen.

Butt - 15.2oz.
Shaft #1 - 4.4oz. Slight taper roll
Shaft #2 - 4.1oz. Unchalked

Plays fantastic but I'm not a big steel-jointed fan. Don't see these up for sale often.

$1,300

Todd

I'm not up on new Tad cues (after 1980), but he used to use nothing but ivory ferrules. As you didn't mention it, I have to ask if your cue has ivory, or a substitute? As for pricing, a brand new Tad can be had for $1615 if you pay cash. That is with ivory ferrules.

My Opinion

With the market so soft right now I think between $1000-$1200 depending on condition.

the market is soft, that was a ~$1800 a while back, I played with one exactly like that for 3 years everyday(when I played full time) I love mine still have it too. I only stopped using mine b/c I had Jerry Franklyn re-paint it shortly befor he passed away and its mint condition, I had Laurie make me a new player cue in a hurry.

anyways I would think 1200-1400 if one shaft is new and no dings , scratches etc, if your in a hurry $1000 is right, But its a Tad and thats a big cue. I could think of ALOT of $1000 cues i'd rather not have than this cue, it might be the smartest cue to own for $1000.

Exactly....

I agree 100%. I dont have a dog in this hunt but I played with one exactly like this one for a couple years,,,,and I really liked it. I only sold it to get the one in my avitar.

I would only sell or trade the one in my avitar to get another Tad cue.

HOW STRONG IS THAT?

Thanks for the help guys.

Out of respect for the master Mr. Kohara, I'm going price it at $1300

Aside from the light play on one shaft, there's not a mark on it.

Ferrules...

Did we ever find out if this beauty has ivory ferrules?

Beautiful Tad. Always loved this basic look. From across the room you know it's a Tad right away. Could you please help me understand what "slight taper roll" with shaft #1 means? The shaft wobbles apart, or together, or both or what? Thanks.

The ferrules are NOT ivory. Not sure what he uses exactly but obviously some kind of phenolic.
