i hit with a friend's 8k black boar once for 20 minutes. It had the ferruless shafts. I can honestly say i've never hit with any cue v that hit as nice. Felt like a major wand. So yes if you can afford the best, he's one of them.
Is there anything different in the wood I mean maple is maple .
All wood is different , Tony has a way of testing his shaft wood. He is extremely picky and discards something like 90% of it. Since he is using the top 10% or so he factors that into the price. I have owned all the top tier cues and never have I seen a Boar shaft that was not perfect in every way. Tony is a perfectionist , people who like the best and can afford it have no qualms paying for it.
Well let's not get to carried away , Toney is by no way the only cue maker who makes a great shaft and to think the price does not include his name as value added would be rediculas ,
There are plenty of shafts same caliber for less .

Keith is fair on price and a fantastic cue... no arguments there
I appriciate that, Yes he is BUT that doesn't diminish the price nor quality of higher priced shafts...
How many newer Boar or Searing shafts have you played with? Instead, how many Boars or Searing cues have you played with using a Lucasi shaft? Id bet you could tell the difference..
Agree..AND Disagree....
Yep...Dennis Searing and Keith Josey are among that group that make some of the best shafts on the planet...
Nope... There are not PLENTY, not even close, who make the same "caliber" shafts as Tony, Dennis, or Keith for that matter....
