Get something which is similar color to the forearm wood. It should look pretty. :)

I like the amboyna wood in this cue a lot.
 
Just want to thanks everyone for the kind words, specially to my friend Jive for all his patience during the build and was happy to work with him. The result of the recuts on the points of the cue are great, plus the beauty of the wood itself which is unique and can only be done by mother nature.
