Has anyone used a blade wider than 3/8ths of an inch on a 14" Delta bandsaw?
I think the adjustment screw is only marked for 3/8ths of an inch or smaller.

You can use 1/2" blades.
You can put on a heavier shock absorbing spring on the blade adjustment. One of my saws have a half inch blade and the other has a one inch blade.

I also have been using those blades for many years. That film on you tube was made in 2011. The last time I bought blades from them was before that. At that time I bought 5 blades or 8 blades or what ever was the minimum for the sale price so these newer blades he is talking about came about after my last purchase and I've never had any complaints about the old ones so I would like to try one of the newer ones.
