Blast from the Past, 1994 revisited...

JS,
For veneered 6 pointers from GS, I think I can count the one that just sold to CC, I think LH has two veneered and Marks one and the rumor of the super fancy one from the DCC last year. Wonders what happened to that deal? Maybe 5 known.. who knows... I think some of his 6's are the best cues, I like the designs better than the 8 pointers I have seen.

But you have to keep this on the down lo... someone here might try and say Gus copied the veneered 6 pointer from Kersh or SW...shhhhhhhhh :p

Joe

what colors? ive only seen red and mahogany? ..... heard of yellow?

didnt hear of the super fancy one from DCC, any pics?

i though *** ****** taught him before dk or jf began.:D

ill try to keep quiet, i hope nobody else see this otherwise we'll have send the M.I.B.

JS,
I think the one that just went to Taiwan was indeed yellow veneers. Well that guy taught everyone and he invented the internet to. :D

Ok but there could be an insinuation of a price gouge, which wouldn't be accurate. The cue is really not for sale, BUT if you want it, thats what it will cost you. There is a high degree of sentimentality with that cue. He ordered it from Gus, and its his personal link to Gus, in a way. So how would you price that? People have asked him to put a price on it and that's his number. Whether you agree with it or not, thats personal.

Joe
joe, you're getting sensitive :)
i didnt even put the price.
i agree he can ask whatever he wants.
i will also agree i want that cue :)
maybe i was hoping he would see my post and drop the price a whole bunch :)
wishful thinking!

i got pics of 5 - not including the one you are talking about just sold.
can you say where it came from?

If you are talking in reference to my post it came out of a collection in NJ, but to be fair to the seller and the buyer I cannot divulge any information other than that. Well that and there is a picture of the butt sleeve in the Billiard Encyclopedia.

Joe

he told me he was working on that a long time ago - i guess it just now transpired? it's a yellow veneer?

It's a lot of work. I have maybe 20 mailers i've been working on and I had to take a break. I will put them all on my site shortly.
