Blast from the past

Hi guys,

I was having a good clean out last night and I came across the first ever cue I played with. It was given to me by my late, great uncle when I was 11 as he had given up the game.

It's a little beat up and could use some expert refinishing but I still think its a beautiful cue. I don't know if it was a limited run model or if it was an off the shelf job but it doesn't matter to me because this was my first cue and I suppose its what started the obsession that we all share.

Anyway, just thought I'd share my trip down memory lane with you all.

i've wondered about this too. I'd never heard of Helmstetter before i joined this forum and I still don't know anything behind the name.

If anyone can share some knowledge about this cue it would mean i great deal to me, i sincerly mean it. I'd love to know as much about this cue's history as possible, it's part of mine and my family's history too.
