Blue chalk stain on clothes

Hey!

I guess this happens to most of us. Tonight I got a nice blue stain on an expensive pair of beige pants and I immedately panicked and try to rub it off with a wet towel and some dish soap. I then came home and washed the pants but after it came out there was still a faint blue stain.

What's the best way to get this off completely?

Spray a little Shout on the spot, let set for a little while, wash (if they are washable pants), and you should be good to go. Please iron.

When it happens soda water from a soft drink soda fountain usually works on most stains by lifting it off. Then in the washer later with shout and add some oxyclean...

I tend to wear a lot of blue so this is rarely a problem for me, but I do think about it when getting dressed to go play. I like nice clothes so I won't wear a light colored shirt that I care about to play in for this reason.

Use pre-flag Masters. It stains less due to the lead content.

And yes, I was being a jackass. :D

Could be worse, if you were playing on an old Gold Crown where the coating on the aluminum side and end
rail strips has worn off years ago and you get an almost black line across your pants every time you shoot.

I had blue pool chalk on my white t-shirt....you were killing me in that mini-skirt....
What I sing to my wife! Lol

So I got this Tommy Bahama silk Side Pocket CFO camp shirt... you may have seen them. Has a rack of balls embroidered/patched on the back. It is the single most expensive article of clothing (apart from a couple of nice suits I got back in the 80s) that I ever bought.

Dry clean... you know, it's silk!

The first time I wore it was to my league night.

I didn't notice until I got home, but I had unwittingly covered the right lower side in blue chalk. I never even gave it a thought...

Well, fortunately for me, we have access to a very hardworking, and knowledgeable dry cleaner, and she made it right for me. But, man, was that ever a near-disaster.

Stop!

If these are nice pants don't do anything and take them to the cleaners. They are the pros! They'll use a pressure steam gun that won't leave the "water stain" that all the other remedies offered will.

Just make sure you point the stains out to them so they can mark them for extra attention.
