Adding the black or white veneer would change the whole look of the thick green veneers. I have seen them done both ways but it definately changes the look of the points. When you lay my cue on the table and walk away from the cue about 10-15 feet you can still really see the color well. As a big fan of the thicker veneers especially when they are doubled I really like the look of these points. I think the thinner veneers that are currently the "trend" are not near as nice looking and pronounced as the thicker type of old. I have seen some cues with the thinner veneers where the veneers appear wavy and also some that appear to bleed together. My next cue purchase or trade will have to be a cue with the thicker veneers, it is just what I myself like better.Ken_4fun said:I like cue but whenever I see a cue with double veneers of the same color I wonder why they dont use anything like a black or white to seperate them.
