we have alot of one pocket players in the DC area and the past couple years we havent seen a lot of them come out. this year I would like to have the DC metro areas best players come slug it out, so if anyone knows a player that should be competing, Spread the word

Whatever happened to the DC RAT? I believe his name was Dexter, a small, black man, now probably about 45 years old (just guessing). Around 1985, he came to New Orleans on a Greyhound with a pocket full of C notes and left driving a Cadillac.

Sad to inform everyone but First Break cafe had an electrical fire the other night and will shut down for around 4 weeks. Some remodeling needs to be done and word is that they might put all new diamonds in. This means I will reschedule the dates of bob stock one pocket event from oct 2nd3rd to a further weekend in November. Please bare with and hopefully soon we will be up and going with diamond tables!! I'll post a new thread for the new dates and flyer. Thank you
Wow Brandon that is bad news. Hope no one was hurt.
On the plus, it is great they will be able to recover from the fire AND install new tables (and maybe some blinds, hint, hint).
Also, since the 1P tourney has to be rescheduled I will be able to play!

Think you're referring to T St Shorty Joey. Dexter was his name but he became a Muslim, changed his name to a Muslim name, and no more pool for Shorty
He was a big time player without a doubt, right out of Guys and Dolls in Silver Hill Md
