Bobby beat Efren

Efern was up 5-2 and Bobby came back. Wow! Bobby was getting some good rolls near then end, but Efren got them early on. He still shot lights out against Efren. Congrats to Bobby!

In those short races, anything can happen. If you bring your best game, as Bobby obviously did, then the impossible can happen, even beating the Magician. Congratulations to Bobby for a fantastic win, and to Efren, hey, tomorrow is another day! :p

Pickle beats Efren

Congratulations to Bobby. When Bobby is playing at his best he doesn't have to lose to anyone as most people in the south already know. Of course no one has the overall game that Efren has. What isn't known by everyone is Bobby's manners at the table. If it were a match of manners and personality when Bobby and Efren played the result would always be a dead heat!

I was looking at the 9-ball results and didnt see this match, so I assume it was round 4. Can anyone confirm?

Thanks to all those who have been posting updates. :)

Pretty sure you are correct but it could have been round 5. That number was mentioned a couple times.

Efren just might have been a little burnt out after a real long day and after having just won the 1 pocket tournament. Maybe a lil emotional dip... a dip in blood sugar and intensity.

But Bobby did play dammed good 9 ball.

I watched Efren practice after he beat Bustamonte the first time. He'd been playing for hours and there he was on the TV table practicing!

I'd never seen him do his 15 ball rotation practice routine and it is something to see. He ran 3 racks of 1 thru 15 before he missed a shot and he made it seem so simple. Words can't describe. There just aren't words that do it justice.

I totally agree brother JimS. Efren actually even looked tired. However, beating a tired Efren is still a great feat. Now that is saying something. ;)
