I just watched Bobby run 113 balls on utube, WOW, this man looks like he invented straight pool, i would bet his high run is up there pretty dam high, my friend Tom Vanover told my some years ago there was a man named Bobby down in VA that played dam good, now i know who he was talking about!

Bobby has plenty of videos on youtube of him running over 100 balls, the one i watched was Bobby playing at hardtimes, does anybody have any stories about this man, whats his highest run in straight pool, iam pretty sure he is from VA, I know Bobby has been around for a long time,i heard his name mention around the pool halls in baltimore from days gone by.

Haha kinda funny. Were you at that place on Rt.1 in Alexandria.Well the story is back in 1996 there was a real rough biker bar that had 2 bar tables that started a super rack jackpot and if you bought tickets and your ticket was drawn you had a chance to break and run out a rack of 8 ball for the prize.

The thing is even the real good players in the area were afraid to even pull into the parking lot besides open the door and go inside.Well I went there about 3 times and finally got my ticket drawn and broke and ran out for the prize which was $4,972.00 as I had to look at a picture of the check to see the amount again.

Even I had a bad sense of safety from being attacked from behind after I won the tourney and the jackpot so I quickly shouted out to everybody drinks on me so go the bar and I got everybody covered for a drink.

The owner called the bar and I told Jimmy Llyod the owner of the bar called the plaza in which used to be called the garage I would just stop by next week and we could square up then.Jimmy kept his word and wrote me a check. The funny thing also is Royal Billiards was a mile away and the next week I won their break and run which was $1,490 and the tournament which was another $600.00.
I remember Max Eberle saying that it was one of the best runouts he had ever seen.Much more to the story and if remember anything feel free to post and I will reply with what I remember.
To answer the question I just happened to see my high run is 311 and it was on one of my Diamond tables at hardtimes and if you wanna stop in my area sometime I am always up to playing some 14.1 and story telling.Oh I did recently forget you stopped by and I hit you with about a 90 ball run from the opening break.I dont remember the run total but remember hanging an easy shot to end the run.

thanks for finally telling it. i asked you in about 10 other threads, but I guess you missed them...

I was there and I remember that room packed with so many of the areas top players, it was a whos-who of dc and baltimore pool.

I also remember the runout being damn tough. It was a real good one you laid down, for the cheeze,

I use to be Bobby's punching bag from 09ish up until June of this year. I have seen Bobby run up to 5 racks of 9 ball (his record i think is 9) and 100+ balls numerous times. I really do miss him and his tight Diamond Pro table in the back of Hard Times. I highly recommend stopping by to play some with him. He is a very approachable guy and is very deep in the pool scene. Hours upon hours of pool knowledge and what really went down with whom, where and whys...

Truly miss you Bobby Chamberlian. I hope that I get to visit you guys sometime soon. Just so you know Im hitting em pretty sporty but I still need the 6 and the break :D

Nice for Bobby...
..last time I played at Royal Billiards, I won $80...paid both our tabs...
...then the guy needed gas money.
...I came out $35 ahead..:boring:
