Bob plays in our 14.1 league at the Illinois Billiard Club. Last night, he ran over 100 in his first match. When that match was done, we video'd his second match
where he ran an 85. Here is the link:

By the way, you need to download the free application to watch the entire match.

I think I'll try to video all of his matches henceforth.

What size of table are they on... It almost looks like a bar box?

Is it an 8 foot? I don't know why this is bugging me so much but I really can not tell.

It's a nine foot Brunswick Anniversary. The Illinois Billiard Club has 6 nine footers, one ten footer, and a billiard table.

I got the same feeling watching it on video. Bobby is kind of long and lean and he has such a long bridge, when he shoots a long shot, it looks like he is right on top of it.

Sounds like you've found a new teacher.;)

Jim: We're not sure how long he will stay with us. He may get bored.

He did start explaining a few things during his big run. In one, as he shot one ball in the side, he bumped another ball probably about 2-3 inches below the side pocket, so that 3 shots later, when he went into a mini-cluster on the bottom rail, it would serve as a safety valve in case he was otherwise hooked. It turned out he didn't need it, but it was there in case he did need it.

About 15:20, looks like the 7 is a good break ball, with the 6 as a key ball, but he shoots the 6 and runs into the 7. I thought he should have played the 9, maybe with high right to get on one of the two striped balls.

Yeah, I don't know what he was trying. Maybe to draw a little and shoot the nine next. Stunned right into the 7.

If he had shot the 9, the angle would have probably taken him away from the two striped balls. Extreme right might have bent the cue ball back but then the position zone on those two would have been fairly tiny.
