Bonus ball interest level

Lenny's post about Tunica reminded me of bonus ball. These are not snide questions towards BB by any stretch.

What's bonus balls spectator interest been like since...
1. The stream went ppv
2. There are other traditional tournaments going on at the same time to steal viewers?


I would also be curious from someone who has been watching the BB stream. How is the onsite attendance? Seat half full etc?

For me,
When bonus ball is free, I will watch it because I love pool and it is slightly better than king of queens reruns.

If there is Anything else pool related going on, I will be watching it and don't mind paying in the slightest.
 
Me , just tired of the constant problems. Cant stay connected right now and I have a huge pipe. Glad I didnt pay for this or I would be pissed.
 
the whole first half has been crystal clear for me; no lagging whatsoever. I'm enjoying it. I like the game for free I must admit.
 
The stream was flawless for me this evening. The production and camera work are great.

I think the part I'm enjoying most is the team aspect of BB. It's what I like about the Mosconi Cup. Even while a player is playing an individual match, he's got his teamates rooting for him. It would be nice to have more crowd involvement, cheering, etc.

I agree.

Tonight the stadium looked pretty full but it was hard to tell.

I did not watch the first week but have watch the free streams since and have had zero issues watching on my phone or computer.

Phone is a Droid Bionic on Verizon, computer is nothing special running Ubuntu OS playing the stream through Firefox on an 18 mb connection. The stream is nearly flawless for me...

I agree. The team aspect is great, just like Mosconi Cup. Switch to normal billiard games and I would become much more interested.
 
I am enjoying the Bonus Ball WPBL, the first stream is always free and I have not had any problems watching it. Its good for the sport of Billiards and I can't wait till NC gets there own team to root my local area on. Please Striking Viking see this and put together a team they need some woman in the WPBL!

Its not always free, Thursdays are free, the rest is PPV.
 
There are certainly less forum posts about it now, but since they were mostly negative before, that's not so bad. I don't think any of the employees will tell you if interest has dropped off though :P So we're all pretty much guessing. Or does the stream show how many viewers like ustream can?
