Book Press Find

[Busbee Cue]

Ran across this book press. It is 11" x 16" and turns very smooth. Picked it up for $75, think I got a good deal because every press I see for sale is asking in the $200 range. This press is very heavy.

How about this one?

It has a 19" diameter steering wheel to crank down on which drives a 2 inch diameter acme thread press screw! The whole thing weighs in at maybe 300# and has thermostat controlled heating if desired. The surface area is just over 21X25 inch. Free to me, just helped a friend for the morning loading up equipment! It was made to laminate art work, which needs a lot of pressure and heat. But it laminate wood with ease, and nice to add heat when I wish! The C press framing you see is over half inch thick steel.
