I agree with the previous posters. It is just spreading the knowledge and if I really like a book I read I will probably pick it up. I have done so with several that I read at the library and bought for myself. I would love to read Winning One Pocket, Shots-Moves and Stratagies, and Rags to Riflemen purely for the information and the read. If I tried to buy these I would be looking at $500 plus.:eek: I love pool and read everything I can get my hands on. Just offering my 2 cents for free.
 
couple years back we had a book circulating around. Was mcgorty, and was a good read. Don't know what happened to it, had about 10 or 15 signatures in it from all of us that had read it.

I agree it was a steal,i missed one a few months back though at around this price,maybe closer to $150.Is it a good read?

Hi Folks,

Some of you may remember and know me as a former "regular poster", before
I broke away from pool for a few months recently to work.

1: Anyway, this thread reminded me that *I* have the AZ copy of "The Color of
Money"! I will try to dig up the details of who sent it to me, so I can send it back.

2: I have never seen the book "The Lions and the Lambs" in person, and only
became aware of it, when "Hambone" was looking for a copy a year or so ago.
I believe I saw one go for about $56 on ebay a few months ago. From a fuzzy
picture of the table of contents in one ebay listing, it appears to be a book about 15
or so players from the past, with a chapter on each.

Thats near the price I gave for my copy not to long ago. Before I bought mine there was a copy advertised for $90 on Amazon.

There are several good chapters on Ronnie Allen, U.J. Puckett, Sonny Springer, Cornbread Red, and others. Not very much considering the price though. You can read as much or more on One-pocket.org
