Boriz extra shaft

Hey all,i have this boriz cue and need a repacement shaft,it has a rapid release joint, but i dont know what will fit it.any suggestions?

From the pictures I've seen on Ebay, it seems the joint is uni-lock. That is the regular uni-lock and not uni lock radial. HOWEVER, this is a joint that requires accurate machining, which is why cues of low cost with what looks like uni-lock do not necessarily take regular uni lock shafts. It could also be a propietary joint that only looks like uni-lock. From the looks of it, it sure does look like uni-lock, but you must confirm by trying a uni-lock shaft on it before you rush off to buy. Do not use any force when trying. If it doesn't thread easily on, do not force anything. Also confirm that the shaft stays on and doesn't instantly get loose.

I've owned many Filipino cues and while some of them play well and look ok, they frequently have off-center joint pins and other inaccuracies and ideosyncrasies (like joint diameter) that make them bad candidates for aftermarket shafts. Haven't owned a Boriz cue per se, so that may not apply, though as I said, trying a shaft before buying is imperative. Picture below from a current Ebay auction, of a Boriz cue.

I'm trying to send a picture of the shaft joint and and the butt joint but it says is that the pic too large and I don't know how to modify pictures thanks for your help

if you like that cue so much why not spend a little more and send it to a good cue repair place and have a new joint threaded pin put in with your new shaft.
could probably get your old shaft if still good to change the female end in it as well.

Try this- contact Boriz and ask them what aftermarket shaft would fit? Or just buy a used Uni-lock and try it, if it doesn't work resell it.
Good luck.
