Did anything ever shake out of the tree in the "Boston Burglary" disgrace? I suppose it'll just fade away into the growing lore of pool thefts...

Bump.

Any word on the outcome?

IMHO. I bet there never will be. Judging from Lil' Jon's last post which was almost apologetic in nature, I'd say he was given a very real threat to shutup or else, or as part of getting his money back he agreed to let the subject die.

IMHO, it looks to me like the Boston Baked Beanmen are the ones who should be apologetic in nature, but as evidenced by the unintelligible thread, an attempt to represent Tony Ruberto's team's side of the story, it appears that Tony threatened to have a sudden case of amnesia.

Which is very revealing and gives the impression that, yes, Tony does know what happened to Little John's post which was stolen from underneath the pool table when he took a rest room break.

Tony Ruberto's action is killed until he straightens this mess out. The onus is upon him to do so.

BTW, I found out several nights ago from the horse's sidekick's mouth that the Yankee players never called Little John back, didn't even give him the courtesy call they promised. Nice guys!

This story is so outrageous that it amazes me the obvious question has not been asked..........

How do we know the two players "aren't in on it" to get the backers money?????

Pretty sweet little plan.............in my opinion.

After all, this is pool.

We have a winner. Good detective work roach, I would bet real high on your assessment.

Funny things happen when engaged in games of high stakes, but if I were a betting person, and I am, I don't think there is any question who stole that money from underneath the pool table.

The statement posted by Tony Ruberto is very telling: "i aint got johns money. i dont rob people i play pool, gamble, talk shit like every other degenerate in the pool world-do i know who has johns money , maybe i could find out- if hed handle this situation a lil bit better dont run up online and start talkin shit bout me or people who live round me thasss not kool. if he called me like a human and talked to me bout it rather that u cyber friends i might have something for him but he wants to try to ruin my name like this well i migh tdevelope amnesia???

Translated: "I ain't got John's money. I don't rob people. I play pool, gamble, talk shit like every other degenerate" -- nice choice of words -- "in the pool world. Do I know who has John's money? Maybe I could find out, if he'd handle this situation a little bit better, don't run up online and start talking shit about me or people who live around me. That's not cool. If he called me like a human and talked to me about it, rather than you cyber friends, I might have something for him, but he wants to try to ruin my name like this. Well, I might develop amnesia."

There is no circumstantial evidence in this caper, but there is a written record right from both horses' mouths on this Discussion Forum.

Reading the above-referenced quote, it is my most humble opinion that the thief resided on Tony Ruberto's side of the table.

Or the "other" option.......

We've laid it down. We've acted long enough. Most are convinced.

Now let's spend the money.

If I were an investigator I would put you on the list of possible conspirators.

How can you speak with such certainty and use the attached quote as evidence?

Sounds like more acting to me.

Roach, I think you are right to be suspciious of the situation, but I am pretty sure that Lil jon gambles with his own money. Thus, why would he make an attempt to steal money from himself? Second, if he was going to engage in a 34k heist, why would he pick Tony Ruberto as his partner?!!!! Third, why would Tony agree to be the "bad guy" in the scenerio and have his action killed everywhere he goes?

The situation as outlined by Liljon makes the most sense to me so far.

Bad publicity is better than no publicity.

And, have you ever been hungry..........real hungry???? You try to avoid it.

Gee, there's a thought!

I provided Tony Ruberto's quote, which, in this case, is evidence. It was provided through an interpreter and then translated once more for clarity. If Tony Ruberto states he may get a sudden case of amnesia, then that could possibly mean that he knows what happened to that money.

And it sounds to me like you're saying that Little John stole the post. I respectfully disagree with your opinion.

Lil John and Roberto in on the heist makes much more sense and is much more likely than, "the money was stolen by some unknown sweater when liljon went to the bath room".

Yet, you buy it.

That's why it works.

Possibly. If that's what he wants you to believe.

If you think Lil' John was in on it answer one question. Why on God's green earth would he have started the original thread if he was in on it?

Judging by your forum member date, May of 2005, I'm going to take the wise road and not dignify your retort with a response, though I am very capable.

I don't have the stamina to engage in a war of words with a Roach from Texas. You are totally entitled to your opinion, Roach Man, with the one exception of placing me in your self-thought-up conspiracy of the theft, but if that works for you, then so be it.

Part I never caught in the thread was, 'who won?'. They say there was 34K posted under the table. I'd bet they did not notice it was gone until the winner tried to claim the prize. If that is so, and Lil' Jon were the winner, wouldn't he have been took for 34K? And if Ruberto won wouldn't he have been taken for 34K and Lil' Jon for $0. If Ruberto did win which I think may be the case. Is he expecting to steal 17K + get paid 17K? This part is very confusing to me. Does anyone know the answer to this?

Tracy, if you had made yourself familiar with the start of the thread you would have realized the theft occured during the match, during a break in the action by Lil John. So all your theorizing is flushed but nice try.
