Boston Joey, Rest in peace

Boston Joey passed away this past weekend. I met him once or twice in the northern Illinois area. I did not know him, but I do want to pass along my condolences to his family and friends. From what I understand, his services are this Saturday for any of you who may have known him and want to pay your respect. May he rest in peace.

My name is Gene Albrecht, I was a friend of Joeys. He would come up to wis. with Gordy Christopherson and Billy Gaines. Joey was a fierce competitor. He was a warrior and a legend. He truely was one of the original road players.I'm in Arizona right now and am glad I have a chance to say a few words about Joey. If there is a pool table in heaven Joey will still be hustleing. He was just a real nice guy.

I was hoping to find Joey to induct him into the New England Pool and Billiard Hall of Fame in the coming year. Sorry it had to happen this way.

Any help in locating family members would be greatly appreciated. Joe deserves his place in the hall and probably go in posthumously, next year.

I played Joey several times in the eighties. He was a great player.

My thoughts and prayers go out to his family members.
