Geez Ted it's a Huebler not a Lucasi !
I've seen Huebler cues that look one level above the cues you get it the set, if you buy a furniture type pool table for your house.
The plain Jane Huebler someone posted pics of is a nice cue, nothing like what I'm talking about.
And the fact is it's a custom cue made right here in the USA I knew plenty of good players who played with one not worth a lot though the me posted might bring 200 on a good day at best not worth selling but it's worth keeping

Just from that one pic, I would guess at least $150, as long as it ain't beat up or warped. That pic makes it look good. Or at leat an above average old cue. You need more pics & specs & some folks that know there chit will chime in!

A plain one, in nice shape, is an easy $150 cue.
Original is important. But here is an example of a non-original shaft merry widow. I would call this a typical price now: LINK

Hueblers are hot right now. Prices have stabilized somewhat but are still creeping up.
I have seen Hueblers like my H-14 sell in the $700-$800 range. I have 3 original shafts for it, two are 31 inches. I wouldn't sell it for $800. Right now, I just wouldn't sell it anyway. Probably never will.
If I had a nice plain one to sell I would want $200 for it (shipped and insured).
Any good shape Huebler for under $100 is a good buy. And they do come along still.

That's amazing. I would personally love to see one. You say the butt was ramin? So I guess the shaft was maple? That would make it even more unusual.
Of course, he could have made a thousand of them and I never heard of it. Maybe Terry Bajorek can comment?
I would love to have it just as a weird example. Odd that a US cuemaker would do that. It wouldn't be done now as all species of ramin are endangered and most ramin wood is illegal. Why bother to go to the trouble for crappy wood?
But is it crappy? It isn't cheap. And the density is similar to maple actually. It has an extremely poor reputation in cue making, especially for shafts. But for butts? I never heard of a US cue maker making a butt out of it. And I have never seen a ramin butt sold with a maple shaft. I have seen a maple butt sold with a ramin shaft, in an Asian import.
At any rate, a good original Huebler shaft is worth a c note these days. So it's still a $100 cue.
Can you get a Huebler for under $100 still. Sure, as I said. But they are typically selling for more.
If you have close up pics of that cue I would certainly love to see them.

The butt looked EXACTLY like this piece of ramin wood, and I've had several Hueblers over the years, even sneakies that I probably wouldn't pay $100 for.
A nice plain jane like the one shown earlier on this thread, made like a real pool cue, is definitely worth $150, but they did put out some really low end stuff.

I understand your experience over the years.
I am just saying what the market shows now. And a good Huebler shaft does go for 100 now.
And it's not just their value increase over the past year, there is also inflation.
Anyway I would love to see the actual cue.
