Or at least I thought I did.

I bought house a few weeks ago (monumental pain in the ass) and we are mostly settled in.I've been work on what has come to be known as my "man cave".The dart board is up and lit and cable has been run with a tv mounted in the upper corner of the garage. While all tgis has been happening I been a table hunting.

Found nice deal about an hour away on an 8' olhausin with all the extras including the light.Even brokered in the delivery price and time.It was a done deal.Since I made the deal after 5pm I had to call a few of my boys and had em raid the atms to build up the cash since the guy wanted real money.Got that done no problem.

While wandering around home depot buying the needed shit for the install the guy calls, which I was expecting so he could get directions.Heres the kicker:

The guy says he sorry, its not for sale anymore.Something about the wife having company over this weekend and her wanting to use it....but it was her who wanted it sold intially.I just hung up,digusted.

I had help at the house waiting to help put it up.I had three different people draw cash and bring it by because that was the deal.

Ya know...for me a deal is a deal.Period.Same as a bet in my mind.You make a deal,you follow through...period.

But I guess this panzy mans wife calls the shots.

Had I been me in his shoes,I would have dealt with my pissed off wife and followed though with my end of the deal.Thats just how a grown man behaves....or at least its how a one should.

Pathetic.

In other news...I'm still looking for a table lol.

That was a bad thing for him to do.

Although this was a shatty thing for the guy to have done to you, look at the bright side. Now you can continue your search and will probably end up with just as good a deal or better on the next table you find. By the way if you have the room for a 9 footer I highly recommend getting the larger table if you can.

Dude, sounds like the guy got a better offer for the table.

Could be true, but thats no better imo.The table was sold.

There is no way I would have done anything but follow through with my end regardless of what came up.Better offer, angry wife...whatever it was...

I agree that there is no excuse for what he did. I also agree that you should consider a 9 footer if there is room.
On the next table get the deposit and terms on paper.

Well

for the other guy, the seller, it was a life without P****, and you know we all cave in for that.

I second this opinion. My thoughts exactly. That's why making a deposit and writing up a deal is so important.

Man, that sucks! I would have done the same, but used a few explatives to make my point to the guy. What a pansy azzzzzzz.........

I am remodeling my garage for a table and in the process had to get rid of some stuff to clear it out. Long story short, I told a buddy of mine that I was selling one of my gun safes, he said that he would buy it. Done deal, then my wife said that she wanted it for her jewelry and stuff. I told her......"sorry babe, a deal is a deal". She wasn't happy, but oh well. She'll get over it.

Regarding the table size, get a 9 footer if you can. I have a 9' and have plenty of room in my 20' x 20' garage.

I will be posting pics of the remodel soon!!

Russ.......
