Is that Joss a one off then??

I'll give an opinion, it could be a one of a kind. In the 60s and 70s, Joss did not have a product line. They were all, in effect, "custom." Their box cues were some of their more expensive ones, and I haven't seen two that were exactly alike, though some had similarities. Just for a bit of nostaligia, here's part of a 1973 National Billiard News article on Joss Cues. If you look carefully, you can see one box cue on the table either completed or under construction.

OK, I've already gotten several requests to post the whole Joss article. I'll give it my best effort. Bear in mind folks, this is my 42 year old newspaper, somewhat discolored, so I've done my best. Hope you enjoy. This was back in the days when there were only several quality cuemakers.

Both cues are awesome.

When you consider when they were made and how they present in reference to today's level of cue making, they are hallmark cues that stand the test if time.

Make that two box cues. Thanks for sharing.
