MIKE,
I AGREE 100%. THERE IS NO REASON TO JUMP ON SOMEBODY ELSES' THREAD AND TRASH THEIR PRICE, OR THE CUE THEY ARE SELLING. I FEEL, WHAT GARY IS ASKING IS MORE THAN FAIR FOR THAT CUE. IF BRUCE WAS INTERESTED IN THE CUE, AND HE NEGOTIATED PRIVATELY WITH GARY, THAT'S A DIFFERENT SITUATION. IT IS UNCALLED FOR THOUGH, TO QUESTION HIS ASKING PRICE. ALTHOUGH THE LINK HE PROVIDED, MADE ME FEEL EVEN MORE THAT BUSHWACKERS' PRICE WAS FAIR. EVIDENTLY BRUCE HAS NEVER TRIED TO SELL ANYTHING.

I agree. something is worth whatever someone is willing to pay. if a cuemaker sells a cue for $500, and on the open market it sells for $2000, are you going to bitch everyone out for selling high? and even if bushwacker's cue was only worth $100, let him sit on it for however long it takes him to sell it. IT DON"T HURT YOU NONE.

I've met Jim Buss a number of times and have seen his work first hand. IMO that is a very fair price for that cue.

$65 ain't bad for a leather wrap. Well, won't send my cue over here to have the wrap done, would cost more. I've been toying with the idea to put a leather wrap on my beloved 11 year old Falcon JB. I seem to grip much better to a leather surface and Irish linen feels a little bit too slippery. :p

Btw, great looking cue. I've heard a lot of good things about Jim Buss' cues and also heard they hit nice. I have one question, is it just an optical illusion but does Buss cues have slightly thicker butt than other cues ?

I don't understand the statement about this cue is too high, look at Jim Buss's web site. What is that supposed to do. If Southwest had a website you would see that you could buy one of their cues for under $1400 but they are being sold here for $2000 or more. The same goes for Tad, Searing, Hercek, Tascarrela, Gina, Lambros, Bluegrass, Bender, etc.

If you don't like the price don't buy it. If you are serious about buying make a offer, if you are not serious don't make statements to jeopardize the sale.

Bushwacker know about cues and if it doesn't move he lowers his price. A lot of times this probably hurt him because buyers know that if they wait he will lower his price; but if you snooze you lose if you really wanted it.

I don't think that price is high at all for what you get, especially compaired to the prices on the cuemakers own site.....

Sides, Garys has got a damned good reputation here for selling cues. I look forward to buying one from him sometime soon...

Especially if he gets another nice Coker....

There is something about that berber carpet that makes your cues stand out. LOL...Becoming like a trademark for Bushwhacker cues for sale. Really nice looking cue you got there.
