Getting Better
Silver Member
So I got to play pool with Brandon Shuff tonight. Man, what a nice guy. He has so much knowledge and enthusiasm for the game that it is incredible. He has just got back from Stan's CTE class and was full of some awesome tips. Had a great lesson tonight from a great player. Just wanted to share that. I know no one cares but it was a pretty cool experience.

Brandon if you read this thanks again for taking the time to try and help out a hack like me.

He is a good guy i have played him in the past on the tiger tour in MD , Very good player back then and now touring pro,, I would like to see him win a big event soon..

Unfortunately since you mentioned CTE, this thread will probably turn ugly. Hopefully, people will just ignore it, and focus on the main theme.

I hope not. I just wanted to say how cool it was for a player like me. We don't see to many big names in Somerset, Ky

Really happy that you got a chance to get some table time with Brandon. I hope to be able to do that one day, myself.

When I was in Tunica last year for the Southern Classic....the night before the event started.....I was hitting balls on the fresh 9-foot Diamonds.

I turned to the guy on the table next to me and said, "Man, these tables are awesome. I don't get to play on stuff like this back home." He just smiled and agreed that they were nice.

The next day I realized that "that guy" was Brandon Shuff. I had heard his name and of his reputation, but I hadn't really gotten caught up in the whole streaming thing yet, so I had never actually knew what he looked like.

I felt kinda dumb at that point, since Brandon sees tables like that pretty much every week. But, he responded to me in a nice manner and didn't put on any airs whatsoever. From everything I've seen or read since then, he appears to be a class act.

I known Brandon for many yrs its been a pleasure to see the man he is growing into he represents pool very well

shuff time to get back texas....you are one of us now.....

Brandon will be in West Monroe for the 9 ball event, on Diamond Tables, May 17-19th!

Crazy field it's gonna be too. Lots of top players.

I first met Brandon at the Houston Open in 2009. He snapped it off. The recording is somewhere on Ustream if they haven't already erased it. We didn't meet again until 2010 at a Texas Open Qualifier I was doing in Austin. We did some commentary together and immediately became friends. He's very good on the mic. Very Professional.

Just like the rest of us Brandon is not perfect but he is constantly going for it. Even though he is young enough to be my son, he is like a brother to me. Good guy to be around. No time for the negative.

i like Brandon, have spent time with him in Vegas and London, he is always very nice to me, he is enthustaic to learn about things in general, I watched CJ show him some things and man he was focused and genuinely grateful for what CJ showed him. TOJ-Touch of Jump. I dont have anything to show him playing pool, he is kind enough to show me a thing or 2, have had many long conversation's about non poo things. I respect that style of personality in people. He is Aces with Kelly(my girl) too. Even when I see him in passing he is right there with a smile. Good guy, i hope he can continue his pool career for many years. I know he will become a much better player in the next 2-3 years, he has lost a pile of weight and he said he feels 1000X better. He also learned a pile about pressure at the M-Cup-his words not mine. So yes I believe we shall see him step up a notch soon, he is 30 now so lots of time-looks younger dont he?

I met Brandon at hardtimes in Bellflower. He is everything his rep said he was. He is kind to everyone and can play a little too. If we had more pros like Brandon this pool thing might go somewhere.

This is not an understatement either.

I was able to have lunch with Brandon in New Town, ND last year. He had just lost out if the tourney and was eating by himself. We asked him if he wanted to join us. He did, and was positive even after he lost. I became a fan that day. Very impressed.
