Design was inspired, but not even close to the same.
Thanks
Robert Harris

I think we have different definitions of "not even close." The Gilbert inlay design is very unique. There are some elements that look completely new, balanced, non-complex.

Yours is entirely too close an inspiration; it's a copy of those elements with slight modifications, but those unique elements that Vicki and Andy have done are IMO directly copied in your version.

unique

It's like points. Spears lines dots dots and more dots. Who designated you as the design police. It's people like you that build nothing and do nothing and have invested nothing are critical of us that do.
Thanks
Robert Harris

You mean the people that buy cues, used to call those customers. Is a very nice copy of a design in the butt sleeve. No reason to try and deny that and make yourself out to be a fool. Embrace the fact you did it, your not the first one to steal someone else s design. I'd say if anything it is common place among the middle tier cuemakers.

A very nice cue and I like the design, would be ossum to see it on some brown rosewood. Maybe trade the brass to copper though - both would be good looking of course.

As much as I like the design it does have a very close look to Gilberts, nothing wrong with it but it´s a very close call to be the same imo and the tribute for It should be for those who made it first. However, design, what´s really new. That´s how we learn, by copy.
And when I design cues I look at carpets, wallpapers, symbols etc etc.

Regards

Chrippa
