Need a dedicated break cue. Read about 10000 posts and can't make a decision. I play apa & nobody in my league has any of the good quality cues made just for breaking. I have never used a cue with a phenolic tip. I have nothing to test hit and compare. Pref new and w/o a wrap. I'm not worried about how cue looks. Looking to spend @$300

I am using a Jim Baxter barn find or my Arnot cue, both work about the same. Jim's cue was a lot more affordable. Good luck, John

Try A Stinger!
I have a McDerm. Stinger break cue with no wrap and it's also breaks down itno a jump cue.....hard leather tip...rock hard...breaks a ton...can't do wrong with one of these.

Mezz powerbreak 2 is a phenom of a break stick..it's almost like cheating...i see at least 6-7 people breaking with mezz break sticks.
