Any break cue recommendation OTHER THAN BK Rush and Cuetec

I have the BK Rush and I'm just not happy with it at all. That thing was expensive too, but not my cup of tea.

Just looking to see what else is out there

I use a J&J $100 j/b with a WhiteDiamond tip. Blasts the shit out of 'em. I've tried a few hi-dollar ones and the only one i'd consider if i played a lot of rotation would be the Cuetec. Just can't see whipping 6bills for a break cue.

The pure x jump break

Better hope your hands don't sweat much. These grips don't last very long if they do.

Well, just bought a "Pechauer Naked Break Cue with Black Ice Shaft" at Christmas and haven't had the chance to go try it out yet  Will let you know ;)
I would be HIGHLY interested in your opinion of the Black Ice shaft. Please post about your exsperience with it if you could.

Don't want to derail this thread. What did you not like about the BK Rush?? PM is fine if you prefer.....

There were some other good reviews on here about it. The only ones who didn't seem to like it were the ones who like to slam the hell out of the break because this has more weight forward. I like the idea of more wieght up front as my back hurts like hell and I can't bend very well any more.

I like like Break Cue under 17oz.

Believe you can go as heavy as 25oz.

But because I am
Old, with Bad Shoulder, I find Lighter works better 4 me.

Try different weights before purchase.

I'll go ahead and say it and admit my faults... Maybe it's just me and need to work on my break more. I'm just not getting good results with it (making balls). I usually more 10 ball

I'd rather not... Maybe change the tip?

Any cue designated as a "break" cue is marketing. The 2 best breakers i have owned was a 5k Perry Weston and a 4k Josswest. Not cues to be coincidered "break" cues, both has ivory ferrells(sp). The choice is entirely up to you what you like to break or shoot with. I used a cuetec eliminater for almost 10 years($99) for no other reason then it fit my breaking style and i broke very well with it. I like a stiff hit and cuetec fit the bill. Your question is subjective, what do you like\want in a break cue. My recommendation is a jp series from Pechauer, about $250-$300 i think. Choose your stain and wrap(no cortland 😲 lol)

I totally hear you... Funny thing is when I broke my my Carmeli cue it was an OMG break! It was my playing cue but damn that thing broke better than any break cue I've ever owned!
