Break cues....... The Lightning Bolt

I got to see a few kids using it at the Junior VNEA Nationals. It looked like it worked pretty well, but controlling the cueball looked tough.

not for me....

I had the opportunity to try a demo unit that a local hall owner here had before they were being sold to the public....at least to my knowledge that is. I personally didn't care for it all that much.

I suppose that it could be due to the fact that it's incredibly light?!? I think it threw my timing off pretty substantially which is obviously an important factor in anyone's break. I would imagine that with a little bit of practice and adjusting your break accordingly it could work well for many. I personally found it to be a few ounces too light even though I prefer my break cues to be a bit on the lighter side.

On the opposite end of the spectrum, one of the ladies I shoot with had an old cue that was hollowed out in the butt and filled with lead:eek: Talk about a heavy break cue.....all 28oz was hard to muster up a solid...controlled break!
