Hi everyone,

Here is a link in YouTube of a break instructional video by Ralf Souquet. At the end of the videos, two short clips were pasted to show his break from the left and the right.

In this video, Ralf talks about where he addresses the cue ball and where to aim on the one ball with his X breaker.

It also shows his break whereas he made three balls and stopped the cue ball dead in the middle of the table.

Hope you enjoy it.

He has a nice break in the video, its too bad it didnt show up against Alcano then he might not have been the one weeping,Souqet is a great player and future HOF,his game is textbook.:)

Mr. Ralf Souquet was not using the X breaker in the World Pool Championship; he was using a Sledgehammer.

Mr. Souquet tried the X Breaker in the All Japan Championship--he then decided to use it in the Super Cup to see how he would like it under tournament pressure.

This is Mr. Souquet's report of his performance in the Super Cup: http://www.souquet.de/ev/index_ev1.htm

When we met in the Derby, he told me he would like to endorse the X Breaker from then on.

Thank you very much.

Regards,

Richard

Hey, it cuts off right at the end! Would have liked to see more or hear his instructions better, could hardly hear it over all the flow noise.

Anyways, congrats on getting him to endorse your cues :)

Question

Are there any European or USA players going for the tournament in Japan on the 20th and 21st (Saturday/Sunday)? Most Filapino players are going.

I watched Ralf play in Los Angeles. A few pros commented on how great his break is, plenty of power but the cueball stops dead every time.

Hi,
There should not be anything being cut off at the end, and the voice was quite clear. May be you need to increase the volume. Does anyone else have problem listening to the voice? You can also watch the video on my web site, which mght have better quality.
Scott, I am not sure if any US player is going to the Kansai Open, the top prize is only about $10,000 for men, and may be $6000 or less for women. Travelling and hotel expenses are quite expensive. Usually, only Asian players would show up in this tournament. But then I am not sure.
TATE, I notice that Ralf does not move his body too much as far as his lower body goes. I pasted two more clips showing his lower body movement at the end of the video from two angles so the viewers can have a better look at that. It appears to me he is able to move his arm and his body through the cueball with very fast acceleration, without too much lower body movement. His bridge hand also stay more or less on the table.
