I saw and bet against Corey doing the 1 pocket, 5 rack challenge in front of me in PA, about 15-20 years ago. He came through town with Gabe. I went halve's with a buddy of mine. Corey didn't even have his stick, he was borrowing my buddy's 314. We lost, but it was worth the price. It was the most amazing pool I've ever seen. For the life of me I can't remember if it was BIH after the break or not. It must not have been, as the number we were betting on was 42 or thereabouts.
Before Corey came to town, we were doing this with a few of the local top players. Everyone thought it would be easy, but it was a total lock. One guy was about a 700 fargo speed. We gave him 25 as his number. He could not do it. We thought 40 was a good number for Corey. I remember one set, he needed 28 or 29 balls, and he only had two attempts left. He ran 14 and 15 and won.
