Yes, and overpracticing my break caused me some problems with my normal stroke.
When I break, my feet are more inline with the stick as this forces me to move my hips out of the way which gets more of my body's power into the shot, if that makes sense. But I was forgetting to line up more square on my normal shots and was therefore having additional problems with my potting.
I'm thinking of foregoing the hard break shot and just go back to the way I was doing it before. But, damn, hard break shots are so much fun!
Have you looked at Colin's recent thread where he has a video posted demonstrating his successful break shots and exactly how he does them?
