Breaking new rules

AZ homepage has a new rule idea someone started that doesn't require you to make a ball on the break. You break and keep shooting (ball made or not). This would be very interesting.

Straight pool and 1 pocket are my games of choice. I'm going to be sure to mention that when I loose my next coin flip.

i hate the idea of this rule. totally takes away the advantage gained by actually practicing your break shots.

Next, it's gonna be, you don't have to pocket a ball, and get to keep shooting........:crying: that would be sad...

This would be a very bad idea. Nobody would hit the break hard and people would soft break even softer than what already is being done. For example if it was 9ball/10ball everyone would break just hard enough for the 1 ball to come out to the side pocket and go from there. Would be really boring. All the good breakers would have no advantage.
