Most of the recent tournaments I've played in I continue to end up just short of the money. I've finished 9th in several tournaments that only paid the top 8 players and finished 4th in a couple of tournaments that only paid the top 3 players. Other tournaments I've played in I've gone 3 or 4 and out.
Obviously I have issues with my consistency and mental focus. I just can't seem to maintain a certain level of play...
So I'm considering getting some instruction. I've considered both the CueSport College and going to Tulsa and taking some instruction from Gabe Owen. Since I live in SW Missouri both options are attainable. Does anyone else know of any additional players/places in Missouri where instruction is given?
I do have several books, including "The Pleasures of Small Motions", "A Mind For Pool", etc... that deal with not only the physical game, but also the mental aspect as well. I guess what I'm looking for is someone who is capable of analyzing my game and helping me determine if it's a physical issue, mental issue or both...
