What up B?
Try to get in stroke for the Derby and see what happens? You started a mess. I thought it was funny how all the Brian bashing ceased after you started posting. Anyway, I can't believe Jarvis didn't want to play. This would be a perfect warm up for the Derby for both of you. As far as the best banker in the world, that's a tough one. I'm biased however since I've ran around with three of them that could be consider for this title. I've been to a few places with Fargo and he banks good and moves as good as anyone. I've been to a lot of places with Brumback. He moves good and banks as good as anyone. Brumback also beat Jason Miller two sets in the finals of the US Open Bank tournament(full rack) here in Louisville in november. That could've been you Brian if you didn't miss a cross side for the set against Brumback in the finals of the loser's bracket. Sorry to dredge up that memory. Anyway, Brumback has a second and several top ten finishes in the Derby's bank history. As far as the third nominee, it would have to go to Jarvis. I've been to a lot of places with Jarvis and I had the opportunity to see him close to his best when I was younger. He moves and banks just as good as anyone. I've watched him run more balls than anyone I've ever seen. He doesn't play like he did in the past, but neither does Fargo. As far as purest banker, Truman Hogue gets a nod in there with Jarvis as the best I've seen. Truman just doesn't move as good as the other guys. As far as guys that have passed away or are too far up there in age to play at top notch level, I have to give honors to Bugs, Donnie Anderson, Vernon Elliot, and Gary Spaeth. I'm sure I missed a few and it's just my opinion anyway and probably doesn't amount for much.
Just a side note, Tony Chohan was heard saying anybody could get ten thousand dollars worth of bank action when he was at the US Open bank tournament here in Louisville back in november. You know, the one Brumback won and yours truly finished third. Anyway, he gave a pretty good banker around here 5-4 and robbed him, which 5-4 is a huge spot in short rack, and then played Louis DeMarco even and robbed him too. They said he's playing the best bank in the country right now. They could've also just said that because they had a sore a$$ after getting beat. Nonetheless, he's playing great and it will be interesting to see if he matches up any high dollar bank action this year at the Derby.
Talk to you soon Brian. Get in stroke so I have something to bet on at the Derby.
