Brilliant 2 way shot from Efren

That was the FIRST shot I thought of before he even played the shot. I may not have executed it as well, but that was the shot that I thought was his best option. This shot comes up very often...at least a variation of it.

Good for you. I probably would have played a stop shot on the one and played the easy safe on the two. But then I'm just a banger.

The time-referenced links never act right for me on my iPad. The videos always play from the start.

If you look at the link, the number at the end is the number of seconds into the video being referenced. You can find the desired point with some equations and science.

I don't think he's straight in on the 1, so a stop shop may drift the cueball over to the left and block him from seeing the 2.

When viewing with Tapatalk, on iOS, youtube videos always start from the beginning, at least for me. Its best to type in your post the time stamp as this happens to many people for probably various reasons.
 
Do you guys think he called the 10 in the corner or the 1 ball? When I saw it earlier I thought he was banking the 1. Now due to this thread, I'm wondering if he was playing the 10. What do you guys think? I think he was still playing the 1.
 
It looks easy when Efren's shooting it but in reality there is a very, very small window to miss the 8 and hit the rail just before the corner pocket. It's a precision shot that requires very tight control of the cue ball's path off the 1 ball.

This is a great hit by Efren....and yeah, I believe he called the 10-ball.
I'm not fond of call-shot 10-ball....but I really hate 'call-shot with the option'.
You can't play this shot because your opponent can say 'shoot again'
if you miss....this takes a significant amount of skill OUT of the game.
