those statement coming from an average player would of been a little annoying Mr. Webb, but as your an actual cue maker i think its great to see you wanting to hold others in your field accountable to incidents like this.
.

That's the point I'm trying to make, I don't hold anyone accountable except myself, It's up to you the customer to hold the person accountable who's doing the work, It's your money being spent and you should expect communication, especially on something that is designed to perform a certain way. I turn away jobs like the red and black dot shafts all the time because Bob Meucci doesn't want to give up the ferrules, I don't like it but I understand that Bob has been burnt by quite a few people that he has trusted, so I just apologise to the customer and ask them to send it back to Meucci. I also turn away people who want to change the ferrule on the Tiger shafts, I have no right to change their design.

Predator won't work on a shaft that has been worked on in this fashion from what I understand, they don't want the liability once someone else has touched the ferrule area.

Mike Webb is right unfortunately, The Shaft Master just voided your warranty and now your Predator shaft plays like a regular one.

We at Tiger Products do warranty the ferrules of our "X" Laminated Shafts (aftermarket & OE on Cues) for life against cracking & breakage. I believe that Predator does as well.

With price of high end aftermarket shafts and the warranties provided, it makes the most sense to send any trouble issues back to the manufacturer and save yourself the high risk of letting someone who may or may not know how to properly repair your shaft, thereby changing its playing characteristics & voiding your warranty at the same time.

Corey, the new ferrule/tip combo Tiger developed is the sweetest hit of any cue I've ever used!

If someone just wants a low squirt shaft, I recommend Predator.

If someone wants a sweet hit on a shaft that plays like a premium conventional, the new Tiger X with your new short shouldered ferrule and a sniper is about as good as it gets.

You're right. This shaft should go back to predator for repair. They'll fix it or replace it.

I totally disagree with that, If and I do mean if, you get as large as Predator is when it comes to demand of your product,, you might also feel differently, The average person does not want to loose their shaft for a week or two if a problem occurs and they shouldn't have to. That is why you, in the developement industry should learn to work with cue makers. Predator does and I respect and admire them for it.

I was at the Reno Bar Box tourney this weekend and I had "Shaft Master" change my ferrule. He sells the portable lathe machines. He put on a "AEGIS" ferrule, 1 inch long, ( i had a choice of short ferrule like Predator or longer), ...Aegis is really hard. He put a dowel in it... I had a med. Moori put back on. I played with it yesterday and today and did not like it. Went back to my other stock shaft. Just my opinion.....

Chris
You are correct, it doesn't say it was a Predator shaft, sorry shame on me for assuming seeing this is a BROKEN PREDATOR THREAD.
