Broken Balabushka

I just head that a guy broke a Balabushka at the DCC.

What a sad thing to have happen.
Owners remorse?

Why did he do that?

JD Powers did a study on players that break high end cues out of anger. In short, they concluded a high end cue buster has a net worth in the top 10%, an IQ in the bottom 10, and is 478% more likely to physically abuse a woman or his dog.

;)

That's just stupid (unless it was an accident).

Buddy of mine snapped a southwest over his knee at a stupid little 3 man $100 entry tournament. People at southwest fixed it too. I don't know how because that thing was shattered.

Messed up thing is technically it isn't even his. A family friend died and my grandpa bought the stick and lets him play with it.

I will donate one of my best J&J cues to him so he can play better.

Scot at Proficient Billiards would gladly accept a broken cue.

I've always been overly protective of my cues not wanting to get a nick on any of them and to hear someone broke a classic like this is unbelievable (if it wasn't an accident).

what we all forget is if you are willing to play with a cue that most folks would put in the church poor box.......forget it......you cannot miss.....put me in the box...

guys....my name is Gerry.....i will play.....i will lose.....you can go home with $or not!.....

Lets talk.....you can pay for your trip........or you can pay for MY TRIP.....

rackemup.....lets go!

It may have been an accident, but he did stuff that he shouldn't have done.

I heard he did the over the shoulders bending of the cue.
Banged it on the table some.

Not sure what the final things was, but it happened.

If I owned a Balabushka and missed a shot I would also break it, as everyone knows it is the stick that makes the shot and the more it cost the better it should play. :rotflmao1:

I have always had the belief that if I miss a shot I wish the cue would pick me up and throw me. I never did understand why people abuse their pool or golf equipment.

Would a guy with the wisdom and forethought to even be in a position to own a coveted cue like that really break it???

I'm guessing it wasn't a REAL George...

You guys are missing the point.

It isn't that big of deal.

There are more Balabushka cues out there now than old George ever built.

I looked at one at a booth at Derby City Classic. ;)

You mean there are fake Balabushka's out there? At lesst I can feel safe knowing mine has George's signature on it.
