Someone just called me looking for extra or broken slate that they can cut into 12"x16" sections to use for paintings. If you have any let me know in this thread and I will pm you his contact information. He is located in Ohio somewhere but obviously is willing to buy and pay for shipping. We did not talk any prices so I have no idea what he is wanting to pay.

With all the weak back hacks out there, I'm sure there has to be alot of broken slate available!
Check with Josh, he's in Ohio and may have some leads that would probably be cheaper than buying+shipping.
(not that I'm comparing him to hacks, now that I've read what I just typed...lol)

Yeah, speaking of hacks ;) he called me today too. He's is the Art Department at Wright State University. I made a couple calls to try to find him some broken or mismatched slate and wasn't able to find anything. I didn't talk prices either, but one of the guys I talked to gave me the impression that he had talked to the same guy last year or so. Said he thinks he looking for broken pieces that someone can GIVE him. Oh well...still on the look-out...

In the mean-time, you guys will like this... business is so slow here, I took in a job from a moving company we've done some work with...they wanted to know if I could drain and disassemble a waterbed to get it ready for moving. Hells yeah I can! LOL Paid the same as a pool table tear-down and I was glad to have the work. :)

That would be him, his email was at wright.edu.I will email him tommorow to contact Diamond and see if the two parties can work something out.
