Brown unknown material

I have acquired some of this brown,very dense material,and have no clue what it is.Any ideas ?A friend found this at work and is electrical related.

it is paper phenolic / bakelit .
stiffer but much more breakable than linen phenolic.

I was thinking maybe a Bakelite.This 10"x1-7/16" piece weighs 17.3 oz

Haha. Thats what I was going to say Kim.

Whenever I find any unknown brown material by the back door, I generally know what it is and who is responsible.
