Does anyone have pics of a Brunswick Buckingham? A friend of mine is looking to purchase one of these but he would like to know what it looks like before buying it. We are actually going to look at it tomorrow but we would like to know what to expect before we get there. Does anyone know if these tables are any good? Any info would be great. Thanks AZ!:)

Looks like a cross between a Hawthorn & a Bristol. Take a close look at the rails as some in that style came with solid hardwood rails and some with press board. The Hawthorn had hardwood while the Bristols generally came with press board. It will more than likely have 3/4" slate unless the dealer happen to upgrade. Not a bad playing series for a home table but definitely not for heavy use.

the biggest problem I've seen on those tables is the slate screw supports on the side of the frames are weak. If the installer didn't pre drill before screwing the slate down they tend to crack easily. They use a common 3/4 inch plywood frame. look under the table to inspect those. They can be easily replaced but nice to know ahead of time. If it is one of the hardwood rail tables then good but if it's pressboard rails then pass unless it is one hell of a deal.

Is $450 a good deal on it? Plus another $425 to deliver and setup with new Champion Invitational felt.

I feel like I got a call a day or two ago about moving a Brunswick Buckingham. Given the fact that you are looking at 875 to get a table in your home that may not play as well as others, what about a much better table for a bit more. Shoot me an email at Chris@pool-table-service.com or PM me. I may be able to sell your friend a used table in great shape that your friend will like much more.

Championship 3066 Invitational has been discontinued altho you can probably still find it in the short term. It's pretty low on the scale of good cloths. Championship 3078 Titan or Mali 865 are better quality cloths in the same price range.

$425 to move and setup is a reasonable. If the table is in good shape overall then $450 sounds like a good price.

Chris, I'm a little confused. First, you started a thread "looking for a good mechanic in Montana" then according to your post here...it appears you are a technician...what's up?
