brunswick centenial balls $40.00 + ship

I've heard his name around here. Think he might have been pointed out to me once, but can't recall. I heard no gamble from him and lost interest...I believe he plays mostly bar box. If I hear more of him I'll let you know.

Although Mike Thompson does seem to have friends and has done some good deals in the past, I've called a couple of of money players I know and quite frankly he does not have a good rep here in Denver.
They know him as "Minnesota Mike" and I'm yet to hear anything positive.

I don't think his reputation is any secret and had this not happened I would have kept it to myself.
I really never gave it much of a thought and since I own 200-cues, I don't follow the WFS that closely if it's not on the front page.
It seems like if someone is going to totally implode, they do it on AZ.
I can assure him that this is not doing his rep any good around the Denver area and by the way, I have never received a package back after shipment, and my 39-Itraders is just a small fraction of the deals I have actually done on AZ.
I have a hard time believing that this was ever sent.
If it was sent then the lack of communication is even more concerning...JMO

Yes I will tell you that one of the people on that thread was the friend of mine that almost got hosed by him. As far as people that know him around here Jimmy could care less even if he did know him and I'm pretty sure JR doesn't know him. Seems to me like he went to Colorado and fell off the deep end. As far as how good he is.....hhhhhmmmmmm....Better than average but far from Jimmy or Beau. Maybe a AA+ level. Minnesota is a very tough pool state so it's hard for me to say. I also agree that it will take more than just the $40 back to make this better. I know that a friend of mine is going to try to get a hold of him and see what the hell he is thinking. I hope he does. He is ruined here for deals if he doesn't fix this.

Just wondering if you payed by money order, couldn`t the proper authoritys be notified & the law get him? Maybe the local police should be called. I wish you the best in this bad ordeal. Its a shame someone would ruining there REP over this.

Update

I got a 2 calls from Mike no contact both calls just left a message.
One last night telling me to call him.
Another call early this morning 7:30am my time.
This mornings message stated that I ah ah found the priority mail tracking #
2305 0270 0001 3567 4865. You guys check it.:rolleyes:
It shows that a package (I hope mine) was mailed yesterday October 7th at 3:29pm.
I tried to return his call. Of course there was no answer. :frown:
I left a message for him to call me and explain.
Well at least I know he is alive.:shrug:
 
If your set does show up, does anyone else get the feeling that some local pool hall has been missing a set of balls since oh, about yesterday afternoon?

Do you have any idea how hard it is to get a set when your "acquiring" them one at a time:)

Things are looking up

Well the tracking # says the package arrived at my post office this morning 7:41am. Mail gets here about 1pm

I am waiting with bated breath to finally get a look at my Centennials. :happydance:

I am Happy to announce that the Centennial Balls have arrived safe and sound. It cost him about $4 plus a lot of tape & time wrapping and unwraping :frown::cool: more than it had to.
Hint To all: USE FLAT RATE BOX when shipping Balls.

Why it took 5 weeks to complete this deal I still have no idea.:scratchhead:
There was no sign that the balls were returned and reshipped.
I want to sincerely Thank any of you that helped with prodding IRUNRAKS to finally deliver.
In closing I would like to say I recieved a set of Antique Centennial balls.
Although they appear to be nice, no chips they. When you rub them you can feel the black rings around the numbers and raised # spots. :mad::mad:
