Very well put. I think you should lead. I know plenty of mechanics who are looking for someone without an ego to get things rolling.

I second that, I've never seen an ego post from Mark. If anything he seems like a reluctant leader.. Which in this case is probably a very good thing.
Hey, I respect Glen and many of the other regulars here. The chest beating doesn't do anyone any good. Glen had a hard charging plan to earn respect from AZB members on here and he has earned that respect from a good number of people on here. Yes, he is controversial at times but so was Madonna and Paris Hilton.... Thank god we didn't have to see him in his under ware! 
"Lead the mechanic's"...what a joke. Part of leading is the fact that the leadership MUST have followers...or...there's no LEADING going on. And most of YOU guys couldn't follow someone else if your life depended on it.
Exactly what does "Lead the mechanic's" mean anyway? If you want to do something to change...improve...better, this industry...you don't make that happen by appointing someone to "Lead" this industry....because the question then becomes....WHERE are you being "Lead" to? The ONLY way you're going to change this industry...is to INFORM...EDUCATE...MAKE AWARE...ADVISE...PROTECT........THE CUSTOMERS! They come first...as THEY are the ones that keep HACKS employed...while you so called "Professional table mechanics" are so worried about them taking work from you...that ALL you do is complain about them...yet do nothing about it.
An EDUCATED customer is a customer that will NOT hire a hack to do the work they want done....only problem is...they don't know who in the hell YOU guys are....because you guys all want to fight and argue about who's doing what and what's he doing over there....LIKE IT MEANS SOMETHING IMPORTANT TO THE CUSTOMERS!
It's a shame...a real SHAME that I can find work all over this country...from coast to coast....even in anyone of your back yards...with YOU standing RIGHT THERE WATCHING. So WHAT does THAT say about the work YOU do...that someone is willing to HIRE me...OVER YOU to do the work....in your OWN backyard?

What in the hell have YOU ever had an idea about....that interested me enough to want to copy YOU? If you think the use of a chopsaw is YOUR original idea....you're dumb as a box of rocks!!! I used a chopsaw with a 200 tooth plywood blade in it back in the 80's to cut off the ends of my bar table rail blocks and cushions when I was building replacement rails....so...do yourself a favor...get OVER yourself...you're NOT as great as you think you are.
And for all you that want to talk about who's the best...try this on for size.
You know you're the best....when you get finished with a job working on a pool table...and you stand back and look at your work...and know in your heart and mind...NO ONE COULD HAVE DONE A BETTER JOB THAN I JUST DID ON THAT POOL TABLE...ALL THEY COULD HAVE DONE IS TIED!!!!!

Seriously though, guys, this bickering has got to stop. We're all in it for the same thing, and that is to better the industry as a whole. Fighting against each other to accomplish the same goal isn't going to work. I'm not saying we all have to be best friends, but Rob, you coming on here with the sole intent of dragging Glen's name through the mud is REALLY getting old. I've never had issues with you myself, but come on. Please contribute something productive to the forum and leave the kid shit somewhere else.
