Brunswick Centennial Balls

I remember seeing an old thread that said exposing the yellowish cue balls to sunlight will whiten them. Perhaps on a sunny window sill and turn them a bit after a day or two. I never needed to try......just passing it on. Curious to know though. Mitch

I believe that was the case. In that thread, I f you store the set in the dark they turn yellow. Place them in the sunlight and they will whiten.

I see that Subdude1974 deleted his add. I know at least 2 sets were returned.
Seyberts is one of the sponsors this site and I give them a ton of business, but they do not sell Brunswick Centennial balls. I would recommend either Ken at Classic Billiards or CueStix International - both are reputable dealers that I have purchased
Brunswick Centennial ball sets from recently, and both have been fine (not yellowed).

I was not aware CueStix as being a dealer.

Like others have posted, I prefer the off white color that IMO adds to the design appeal which is bolstered by great colors and unique number display.
A stark white background would indeed render the appearance to resemble the look of Aramith's entry level pool ball set or some other inferior brand.

This made me curious, so I grabbed a camera and two references and shot the following. The color chart is a MacBeth form if any photographers care to use it to analyze (I did not), and the paper is just a piece of printer paper -- no promises it is pure white (but I promise the neutral sections of the color chart are). It's taken under LED lights, then adjusted in photoshop to produce neutral grey.

These were bought about a year ago from Robertson Billiards in Tampa, who is well known and reputable, and my impression goes through inventory fairly frequently.

Are they "right"? I have no idea, but I like them this way.
