Brunswick cue ID please

I bought this cue in the mid/late 90's I believe. I don't even recall what I paid for it - maybe a couple hundred bucks but I'm not positive.

Anyway, I'm about to re-tip it in the hopes that it becomes a better shooter for me. Currently, an old McDermott (nothing fancy) is the cue I shoot the best with but I'm not sure if it's just a mental thing, if the tip isn't what I do best with, or if maybe it's just a crappy cue.

Anyway.... pics below. I thank any helpers in advance. :)

dammit.... need 5 posts to post pics..... guess I'll have to pick the pace up a bit then send the pics. :)

five............

And yes, I DO plan on being a contributing member here, beyond just getting this cue Id'd.

Welcome to the forum.

I'm interested in seeing this cue...Brunswick farmed out a lot of cues.
The ones I like best were made by Joss or Falcon....
...the best of the low priced ones were made by Dufferin.

If you want you can email me the pic and I will post them for you here.

pm me if you want my email address.

Interesting. I posted them (links to a photobucket acct) almost 8 yrs ago and, when I left, the post was "pending approval" from a moderator. Either that hasn't happened yet, they didn't get approved, or someone didn't like my skirting of the "5 posts before you can link pics" rule. :)

Either way, I'll get them up sooner or later.

And thanks fellas for the offers. I think I'll just wait and get them up myself. The cue isn't anything special other than it's red and, at the time, that appealed to me. That being said, I probably over-paid for it. I was what I really don't like being - an impulsive shopper.....and an uneducated one at that. The shop owner who sold it to me recommended it over several cues I was considering at the time. Looking back, I can imagine that he was stuck with that Brunswick and was waiting for someone like me to come around with some $ burning a hole in his pocket.

I can't wait for the UltraSkins I ordered from Tom Hay to show up. I'm not sure if they'll make a big enough difference (I ordered several soft, medium and hard) but I'm going to give it a shot before I ditch/sell this cue.

Joss made that cue for Brunswick.

JV

Falcon made that model also....I had two of them.

Joss and Falcon Brunswicks are hard to tell apart....Falcon got their machines
and training from Danny Janes.

I used to call Falcon 'Son of Joss'...all the parts intermix perfectly.

ps...that is the Falcon of Canada, by the way...the cues seem different
now that they're made in Asia.

So.... Odds are its a Falcon?

I'm pretty anal about my cues so its in great shape; been played with buy no nicks, dents or other blemishes. Any guesses what it might be worth?

I ask because I also have a D-model McDermott (my first "good" cue) from 1990 that I play better with. I'm going to try a couple tips out out on the Brunswick and if I don't get to where I'm playing better with it than I do with the McDermott, I'm probably going to sell it. .....that or maybe get another shaft.... maybe have the existing shaft tapered down.....just change it up ya know?

I do not believe that one is JOSS actually.

.

Actually, those veneers look just like the ones on the cue I posted in the gallery section.Looks like pantograph veneers, maybe. Butt the Joss Brunswick cues I've seen were more subdued, not as brightly colored.

would better / closer / more clear pics help? The lighting wasn't optimal so the coloring looks funny (in the pics).
